چکیده
This paper studies the role of inventors’ networks and diversity local industrial structure for regional innovation, differentiating between regions' production normal breakthrough innovations. Our results suggest that, on one hand, related variety enhances overall innovation rate, while unrelated supports rate On other we find evidence that are determinant patenting To do so constructed a unique database Italian activity at United States Patent Trademark Office (USPTO) dating back to 1972.
